Nestled
at an altitude of 1100 meter above the sea level, Vagamon hill
station is acclaimed as the trekker's paradise. It is idyllic
for adventure sports like mountaineering, rock climbing, and paragliding.
Kurisumala, Murugan Hill, and Thangal Hill besiege Vagamon or
Wagamon, making it a base hill station. Vagamon is graced with
greenery in abundance- ravishing meadows, beautiful valleys, gushing
streams and extensive acres of tea estates.
Vagamon Hill Station is meticulously situated on the Kottayam-
Idukki border, which 60 km from Kottayam and 65 km from Idukki
district. Vagamon an ideal place for meditation amidst the velvety
lawns caressed y the soft breeze. Wild animals like wild buffaloes,
deer and elephants are also spotted in this hill station.
In addition to all these, Vagamon Hill Station has a small church
on top of the Kurisumala Hill and an Ashram adjacent to it.
