Eravikulam National Park is located in the Devikulam
Taluk in the Idukki district of Kerala, 15 km north of the hill
station of Munnar.

Eravikulam
National Park was legitimatised as a wildlife sanctuary in 1975
and declared as a national park in 1978. Eravikulam National Park
with its sprawling lawns extending over an area of 97 sq km proudly
shelters a hefty populace of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (mountain
goat found in South India). You can behold the bewitching attractions

patches of Shola enriched with the native flora and fauna. The

including the Neelkurinji, which daubs the Nilgiri Hills with

Langur, squirrels, mongoose, snakes, reptiles and many species

moths is also found in Eravikulam National Park.
The climate in Eravikulam National Park is pleasant throughout
the year. During monsoon there is heavy rainfall. Winters are
frosty. But days are mild and suitable for touring the sanctuary
and spotting animals amidst natural environ.
